Great attendance  for  today's meeting.  Rosane met Regina at Pels at the conference over the weekend.  She is the president of the Newburgh rotary club.  Mark Hannan introduced everyone from the Town of Southampton who was in attendance.  Sean D talked about East End Media Initiative which is now live on WLNG.  With print ads going in the press, and newletters blasts going out to mailing list subscribers in the coming weeks.  A great way to guide people to becoming members of rotary out here.  Sargent Tom Guldi filled in .  Rosane wins the 50/50.  This date in 1912 cherry trees were planted outside of the white house, the trees came from Japan.  Hoover had the telephone installed in the White House in 1929.  In 1964 there was an earthquake in Alaska.  In 1977 two airplanes crashed into each other.  Our program was the busy Bill Manger who updated us all on everything he's working on in Southampton.  Projects include a new roof for the arts center.  New paint job at Village Hall, including the flags being returned to the building.   Vets Hall also got a new roof.   He announced a balanced budget with no tax increases.  He talked about Southampton Inn expansion, which will include 8 new workforce housing units.  Village Pizza taking over for Paul's, the new Southampton Movie Theater.  The installation of solar panels, a new cell tower behind Watermill Fire Dept.  And cleaning up Lake Agwam and Southamptonfest success.  We always enjoy having the mayor visit us at Rotary.
