Meeting began with the prayer and the pledge .  The flag was missing so we saluted a picture of the flag on a cell phone .  We sang Happy Birthday to Paul Cassella, who is celebrating his 46th.  We talked about last week's Fresh Air Home and shared some highlights.  We are getting ready for Southamptonfest, October 3rd, tickets willl be on sale soon.  We are looking for 10 rotarians  who are interested in attending the Gift of Life Gala, it's $150.  Tom Guldi was sargent, Rosane won the 50/50.  Tom talked told us about Hill Street which was noisy back in the 1930s.  1958 Hawaii and Alaska joined our nation.  In 1858 the Lincoln/Douglas debates took place.  PETA was founded in 1980.  Our program was Bonnie, Lucas, and Jessica from The Center (Bridgehampton Child Care & Recreation Center).  The Center is a community based institution for all underserved children families from Islip to Montauk that educates, empowers and encourages self sufficiency.   There doing some great work, highly suggest following them on facebook and instagram.  The club donated $250 to their on going efforts.
