Meeting began with the prayer and the pledge. Three members from Southampton Robotics Team gave us a recap on their competition in Texas. They told us about their experience in hopes of returning. Very impressive. Rosane brought to the club's attention the passing of former DG , and 30+ year Riverhead Rotary member Mel Elwood. Please sign up if you plan on attending. Our club donated $5,000 at the annual Rollstone Foundation Galla that Rosane and Paul attended. Our scholarship committee finished deliberating this week and decided on 14 total scholarships of $3,000. Harold was our sargent. Vicki was best dressed female. This date in history 1787 delegates created the draft of the Constitution. Mickey Mantle hit his 500 home run. Our program was Katie of Fairy Godmother Foundation of NY. The Fairy Godmother Foundation of New York, Inc.™ has been "Making Dreams Come True" since 2017 by granting manageable, meaningful dreams and experiences to enhance the quality of life of children and young adults living with complex medical, mental health, physical or developmental needs. The club donated $250 to their cause.
