Meeting began with the prayer and the pledge.   James made announcement for the 8k.  Please sign up to help out on July 6th, we start at 7:30am.  Plenty of ways to help us out.  You can see James or you can use the online sign up sheet here.  Link works only if your signed into Clubrunner.  We had a few suggestions to make the race an easier day.  Paul spoke about collecting money,  Paul is the new treasurer for the upcoming Rotary year.   There is a upcoming bill that he's getting ready for and we are encouraging everyone who has not paid their Rotary Dues for the upcoming year to please do so.  If you have a past due, you should take care of that also.  You can still mail checks to the PO box 1211, Southampton , NY 11968.  You can also use the Zeffy link on our website and here.  Rosane spoke about our upcoming volunteer effort for the Hamptons Collegiate Baseball which is on July 9th.  If your interested in participating, we have discussed renting a BBQ grill and doing a cookout or having premade sandwiches what we decide to do will be based on participation.  Please let us know if you would like to help.  Mary Kelly was our seargent and Karen Acker won the 50/50.  We learned that high heels is banned in Venice.  It's illegal to own just one guinnea pig in Switzerland.  Memory foam was invented by NASA.  We also talked about failed inventions.  Our program was Christine Sampson from LTV.  She talked about her non-profit where they have 5 studios available .  They are currently fundraising to earn money to replace their roof.  They are located on the local channel 20.   They not only post on their TV channel but on youtube, facebook, and instagram.  They host internships for high school and college.  It was interesting to learn more about what they do and their impact on the community of Southampton, and East Hampton.  LTV was presented a check for $250
