Meeting began with the prayer and the pledge. We enjoyed pork, mashed potatoes, and salad for lunch. Sean D gets his 7th Paul Harris. Lynda wins the 50/50. Mary Kelly was the sargent and quizzed us all on the Fall Season. We learned the last leaves to change are from Oak trees. The Harvest Moon is the fulll moon prior to the 2nd equinox. Pumpkins are a kind of fruit because they have seeds. Monarchs are the last butterfly to leave the area, which i learned a dinner one night in Port Jeff when a person from the other table overhead us talking about butterflies and told us about her experience. The Pumpkin latte came into existance in 2003. Our program was Rollstone Foundation, Pam and Michael were visiting. This is the first time we've had them in for a program. Rollstone Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization with the mission of aiding in the adoption of Special Needs Children worldwide. Two rotarians walk into a bar and this is what happens. It's an incredible organization and it was great to have them tell us their story today.
