We are delighted to announce Phase One completion focusing on the western half of the Rogers Mansion. This momentous
undertaking has revitalized the iconic museum grounds, ensuring their preservation for future generations. Architect Siamak Samii
provided the blueprint for our success with viable plans for immediacy.
Chris LaGuardia Design created our fresh look with over two hundred plantings providing year-round beauty that would welcome
the community to stroll through our new grounds. Behind the museum, a historically relevant pergola to be installed by Koral Bros
Inc, complements over two thousand square feet of terraced brickwork using historic millstones as connection points. We thank
Ernesto Rojas & Sons for his company’s meticulous brickwork and plantings installation.
Now more than ever residents and their guests will want to turn left onto Meeting House Lane when walking down Main Street in
the evening. Never underestimate the crucial role of outside lighting to enhance the visual appeal and preservation of historic
landmark museums. We owe thanks to Nathan Orsman for his contributions in highlighting the Jewel of the Village.
This undertaking represents only the western half of the mansion’s property with an expected completion date prior to August
11 th . We are seeking to secure additional donations from the community, both financial and in-kind, to complete the eastern
grounds.
On Friday, August 11 at 5:30 pm, An Evening in the Garden at the Rogers Mansion will be held to raise the additional
funds necessary to complete our grounds. This event is underwritten and catered by Sant Ambroeus, our next-door neighbor.
After strolling through our new exhibition of lost Renaissance artwork of Samuel Longstreth Parrish recently found in the
basement of the original Parrish Art Museum on Jobs Lane, guests will be serenaded with Brazilian music featuring John Ludlow’s
Bosa Nova Trio. World class Mentalist, Kevin Nicholas, will entertain with up close and personal performances. A caricature artist
will also be available to capture the moment with friends.
Later this year, thanks to village and Environmental Protection funding, work will commence on the exterior of the building,
including repairs to the chimney, shutters, roof, windows, and doors.
Southampton History Museum Trustee Seán Deneny added: “In addition to support under both administrations and trustees, it is
the support of the professional members of our community that we owe a debt of gratitude. Having the right professional team
with high-end skillsets at the top of their game enabled this undertaking to occur in fourteen months.”

Tickets are available by calling the museum at 631.283.2492 or scan the code.
