The meeting began with the pledge of allegiance and a prayer by James Grossi. Tom Guldi was Sergeant and stumped us all on his American history questions. Tom noted that today was National Cookie Day, and a rep from the Vets of America who participated in the 4th of July parade joined the meeting with a box of cookies! Paul Cassella won the 50-50 but didn't pull the winning card. We were all well dressed, so no one was singled out as Best Dressed! Event updates were provided by James for the Firecracker Race, The new date was confirmed by the Village as September 6th. Beau Hulse reminded us that we should be at the Fresh Air Home at 10:00 am on July 23rd. Brian Leiser asked that volunteers for the Baseball game be at the High School baseball fields by 4pm on July 22; the game will start at 5pm, and Brian is picking up the sandwiches. No program for today's meeting, so Paul took this opportunity to remind all to check their ClubRunner account; Paul will be assisting everyone in the proper use. Next meeting is July 16th; Maria Kemp will be the greeter and will say the prayer. Members are encouraged to bring a guest(s) to the meetings.
